Project in design phase. The existing house is located in the most suitable part of the plot on the last terrace before reaching the Montgó Regional Park, with memorable views of the Mediterranean Sea, the city of Denia and the Gulf of Valencia. Around the house there are several outdoor spaces, but all of them at the mercy of the prevailing winds, which often prevents their habitability. The existing house was built in the 1950s as a self-contained villa with poor to the outside space and garden. Its white walls mask a mountain house soul. Humid in the winter and without connection with the garden and the landscape in the benign months. The owner, after living there for 20 years, decided to renovate it. The commission was looking for a house open to the landscape and the views, contemporary in its habitability and with exterior spaces protected from the winds.
The emptiness created by the demolition of the chalecito, becomes a courtyard, sheltered from the wind, all around it follow the closed spaces always connected to the outside and the dazzling views of the sea. Vertically, from the access on the ground floor to the top roof, passing through the courtyard, the spaces flow and connect permanently with the adjacent exterior spaces, allowing full enjoyment of the exceptional landscape.
